I say this as a guy who models 1970's granger railroads. Milwaukee, C&NW, Rock Island, BN and Soo. The modern boring people often give me the stink eye, and the steam modelers look at my stuff all weird, but it's the most fun and the most worth my attention.
I also have some steam stuff too, but not as much as 1970's.
