>>8839396Keep in mind that the last Grimlocks we've gotten were the PotP on the right, and then classics/henkei from 2006-8. You also had MPs and FOC, but those were the last G1 ones. As much as I enjoy PotP Grimlock, the proportions and posability leave much to be desired, partly due to the (imo) unnecessary comboner gimmick. Independent of how SS86 Grimlock is as a figure, I think people are partly just happy about getting an unhampered figure of a fave character.
Not sure what to tell you about dino mode. By no means is it accurate to actual dinos, but angery goofball Grimlock was cute in dino mode and the SS86 toy captures it nicely. Watch at least the 86 movie, Grimlock is swell.
