What I love most about these figures is what would turn most away: They are made more as fun, playable figures than meticulously accurate panel nightmares to fill a shelf. Not that accuracy is a bad thing, but I think a lot of 3p figs disregard the “playability” aspect of toys so they can represent something from a screen that can’t actually transform in reality. The Alpha/Beta/Stray molds don’t have that problem due to the lack of transformations in the comics, so they got to get away with a lot of liberties to make something I can rarely put down, and actually transform without having an aneurysm with tons of creaky panels and tiny tabs.
I’m glad you enjoy him for his fwoosh factor. If Money is not a problem for you, I’d recommend the Alpha and Beta Asterisk figures, as their colors and retools really give the mold a new life.
Also need to get a new camera so I make this line up look better than this potato phone can.
