Because these dresses are for a variety of different doll brands & bodies, there's no tabs, slots or places to glue the paper together. As the video instructions show, you're supposed to tape it up and just not be too messy with it. The shoulder straps are not even taped, just folded into the tube top of the dress. This also means that the dress is a one wear only deal as to remove it from the doll means to rip the tape off, destroying the dress in the process.
I don't see much use for these papers dresses other than a rainy day project for kids. Without serious re-tailoring for specific dolls and re-engineering for tabs & glue points, these dresses are only a temporary solution for naked dolls. And if you're going to those lengths to redesign the paper dresses sold on the site, then why bother buying them. On the other hand, I can see these paper dresses as a start to make patterns for easy fabric dresses. But again, why bother to buy the primo paper ones when the free ones are just as good for pattern making.
