>>6723322>still only judging a line by putting specific characters against each otherYou... do see how that's wrong, don't you? When you talk about old school scouts, most of the praise is for Windcharger. You maybe hear some for Breacher, and much less Hubcap. Beyond that, it's a pretty forgettable batch of figures that only existed to fill the gap between the workhorse deluxes and utterly useless legion/legends/cyberverse size class as it was.
Meanwhile, modern legends have given us Swerve, Cosmos, Gnaw, Brawn, Powerglide, Shockwave, Blackjack, Wheelie, Seaspray, the Insecticons, Beachcomber, Slash and continues to promise neat shit like the Duocons on the way, all of which are excellent, and all of which maintain some kind of interactivity with the rest of the toyline, whether it's being a functional vehicle to Headmasters, or just being able to use any of their weapons. Really, in about 4 years, the number of actual bad legends class figures we've gotten is equal to the paltry amount of legit good Scout class figures we got in all the previous years. I'd say Hubcap is my favorite of the old Scouts, but he's blown the fuck out in almost every way possible by just about every legends figure I've gotten in the past few years. Only plus side to him is that he looks like an eliminator coupe. Even his bot mode is a mess of panels and some pretty shitty joint placement.
