That makes sense enough, it would be an easy enough repaint. Very little new engineering needed. Yeah, after years of Luke Cage, Iron Fist Heroes for Hire Netflix shows we didn’t get much from the comics.

Personally hoping Eternals is at least successful enough to get a comics-inspired wave.

I’m with you pal, have been hoping against hope that we might get at least Ikaris and Sersi someday… figured even Makkari was a long shot. When the movie was announced my imagination went wild with thoughts of Ajak, Druig, Thena, Phastos, Zuras, Gilgamesh, etc. I was even putting together wishlist waves…

Now… the movie and figures look like ass. On top of that; the latest MCU film is floundering, Shang-Chi doesn’t look much better and the MCU hype is stone cold. The only good thing about these crappy movies was that they fund the comics-inspired figures, now they can’t even do that?

I’m probably one of the few that not only was familiar with the Eternals prior to the MCU announcement but also was a fan to the extent that I was super excited to hear said announcement.

I’ve been fascinated with the comics and the Eternals ever since I stumbled upon them in the Official Marvel Handbook back in the 80’s. As soon as I was able I tracked down as many of the comics as I could find. Despite being a Kirby product they were not all that expensive or difficult to obtain. Followed them through the years from Sersi joining the Avengers and Makkari racing Quasar, etc. All of the brief revivals and miniseries, always found something to love... but this movie is just so fucking boring looking! The designs, the toys, the casting! Boring, boring, boring.

You take a wacky concept straight from The King and turn it into this? ...and I thought the Thor movies lacked flair!

The toys though... garbage. The comics are so toyetic in design but we’re stuck with movie banality. Shame. I was still rooting for the movie to succeed because I wanted them to do a comic-inspired wave (or two) but there is so little buzz for this film.
