>>6595046You are even lower on the spectrum compared to the average collector. I compared my number to the people around me/my local group/what you generally see online. Some of my friends have long passed the 100 mark, or some had already nearly 50 two years after they entered the hobby. Granted many of us started right when the Soom Monthly craze begun, I have friends who to a certain point owned every Soom MD.
Here's my current crew:
1x 60cm
12x 65-75cm (mostly 70cm males)
1x 26cm
2x small pet dolls
2x small artist dolls that are size-wise a bit out of the usual range (from Akhmel)
18 dolls. One of them will be for sale soon, one is waiting to be re-shelled into a new doll. My soft cap is at 20, my hard cap at 25 (but I already struggle to find two dolls I still need to complete the group).
I also own 6 Blythe, but they are my "slow burning" project, I only do something with them when I get bored of the BJDs.
During those ten years I overall owned 39, 3 of them were heads that never got a body.
I did not count the ones that came as gift for events since I didn't plan to own them and always sold right away.
Good way to save on money too; I usually bought during events, sold off parts I didn't really need, waited for discounts.
