Again, back in the 00s, Hasbro talked about how it isn't cheap to revisit old molds and refurbishing them for the comic packs they had been doing.
Do you even know how they can add LOST detail to STEEL molds?
If Hasbro is going to do it on the cheap, what molds do they have to actually do a retro line? See again the comic packs from the 00s and how they basically ahd to redo a lot baulking all the way, and that was when the line was POPULAR.
If they're doing it on the cheap, forget about using O-rings, because factories NEED to be retooled and trained to do that shit. That's extra money, for a ONE TIME gimmick line. Because that's what retro shit is.
80s GI Joes are much more complex than those shitty 5PoA Star Wars figures and those 5PoA figures have way more in common with the shittyass budget shits HAsbro is currently producing than 80s Joes.
If Hasbro is making new molds from 3d scans of old figures, that's the same cost as making molds for brand new figures. So again, I'd be impressed if Hasbro is going to spend that much money for a proper Retro line.
