Personally, I can suffer the fake grill, it's not a big deal. I cannot suffer when the entire chest is made of fake parts while the real parts splinter away to become a huge backpack or whatever. I fucking audibly laughed when I saw the first alt. mode pictures and you can clearly make out the fake robo chest windows directly behind the real windows. It doesn't even make sense. With a figure like Sunstreaker, I can see how it was an issue because his roof does some magic morphing during transformation and ends up MUCH smaller than it should be, for cartoon accuracy. But, even going by the cartoon, Prime's windshield is 99.9% similar in both modes, and any difference is easily written off because of how inconsistent the animation is. If anything, the fake windows only decrease accuracy, because now his chest has all those ugly fucking panel lines and hinges.
