Here's what you do, OP. Buy a set of some new japanese figures and sell them for inflated prices on ebay. Even though you're still selling for less than your competitors, you're making double the money you bought them for.
One of your customers offers a lower price and retracts it, having noticed that you actually priced lower than everyone else.
You sell everything, one figure left. You've made plenty off of this experiment, and decide to mark the last piece down to its original price before importing just to get rid of it.
It sells, seemingly smoothly. But then the buyer gives you negative feedback, claiming that you misled them somehow. How could that be? The item was described in all aspects. You try to appeal the negative rep and report the buyer. Nothing happens. You try a month later. No dice. Again, and again, Ebay just doesn't care. They will let illiterate motherfuckers slander you even if you gave them all they wanted and a bit extra.
You learn from the experience to not waste any time selling on ebay.
