>>9024817>Any reason you're priming as you go?oh I primed before I even started, it was just sort of half-assed, which I admit is partly because I was running out of primer, but also because I was just priming the places I thought I would have to paint. this is my first tank and I've only done a few planes before this, so I didn't realized that the parts would sort of fit together snugly like this with the side of some hull pieces showing. but it won't really matter in the end, I guess.
>The kit isn't that beginner friendly, but you're doing a fine job of it.thank you lad. I haven't really been having any trouble desu. the photo etch on the front was a little annoying, as you said (mainly because I'm a dumbass and mixed two of them up, so it's non-symmetrical and also does kind of look like shit).
>primed in one shot at the endthat never occurred to me, desu. I'm just used to people saying "prime the sprue at the start". I guess that's mainly just a strategy for planes or something?
>Unless you just hate green plastic, which is understandable.I'll admit I do like being able to see the details with the medium gray, instead of the dark green which would've been harder. but like you said, it doesn't really matter, and can just be primed at the end.
I'll probably post an update with some more of the PE later tonight before bed. doesn't look great but progress is progress. plus I suppose it helps to get practice in with PE, as I have both Hiryu and SMS Lutzow to work on sometime soon.
