Middle is a reissue from 2017. The figure itself is mostly identical but the harness was improved (recycled from Taste of Coffee and Marine) and they added a cloth tunic instead of the original’s “skirt” being molded onto the harness. The paint apps were far less detailed than the first gen figures so they come off “cleaner” looking which isn’t ideal for this specific line. The hands really suffered from paint chipping issues on these
Right is an OriToy SanD Engineer. While very similar it’s actually a new sculpt. Less sharp and less detailed than OriToy— almost as if it’s made from a copy of a copy of the original molds. The hands are now hard plastic instead of rubber so they’re more susceptible to snapping. I prefer the rubber because they grip a variety of weapons better. I already spoke a bit about how they’re built but I will point out that the head on these have a shallow hole so it’s way too easy for the head to fall off. Besides the paint apps this is my biggest issue with these.
