>>9778911>with a lot of shadows, or else everything blown out and glaringThat sounds like a too strong lamp without any diffusing. You need to add diffusers of some sort. Easiest way to diy a diffuser is getting a white plastic bag and bagging your lamplight with it. You might notice the lamp's light becomes more dim and slighty softer. That's diffused light. I see you use these brown fabrics as backdrop, you might wanna switch them for white colored fabrics, because dark colors tend to suck a lot of light. A white backdrop will help you bouncing more light as you shoot
>2 windows with midday lightThat sounds like good enviroment light. Daylight is always the most flattering light too
>but fuckin’ nothing shows up, even her skinYou see, despite trying to get good illumination, I have this very same problem, it's too hard to show any details whatsoever when I want to do so. My suspicion is that it might have to do with the camera's focal Length. Phone cameras got shitty focal lenght of 22mm ish, while my DSLR lenses (bigger focal length, 50mm and above) are much better at capturing details, with less distortion too
If anybody wanna give us a hunch, feel free to. I'm personally interested in camera setups for toy shooting
