if it doesnt it would be stupid of playmates to go the origins route just cover all the same ground. especially when they could garner alot more favorite and collector interest by touching on toyline exclusive characters and variants like hot head, warrior winged leo, cat mutant april, or halfcourt. i think the key to turtles success upto to now has been offering different turtles to different people. Neca has the toons, the classic films, and the mirage books. Super7 got the vintage. Playmates needs something more than just the kid stuff and vintage reissues. I really think theyre fucking up by not doing a godzilla crossover considering everyone else has covered the monster turtles.
