>>7343133>Lucas wasn't some grand genius- or do you really believe he had the full series plotted out from day one? Only morons believe that but only morons read Breitbart too.I read and visit Breitbart. It's like FOX news; people can never refute it, and many don't even watch it. They only condemn it because of what others say.
BUT you're right about Lucas. How did Vader go from being the lord of the sith (implying he's space-pope) to being the emperor's number one dog? How did he go from being space-pope bitch-slapped around by space admirals and clearly with no authority in the first movie to being the second-in-command of everything in Empire and ROTJ?
With inconsistencies aside, the original trilogy will still always be better than Disneywars. That's why it endures. When you neutralize Star Wars from memory, it's impossible to imagine a movie franchise so loved and enduring that it keeps on bringing in and inspiring new generations because typically as movies get old, only the old give a shit about them. They fade away as the old die off.
Add in Star Wars, and it's a whole different set of equasions.
Lucas made flaws, but he really did create something extraordinary that will out-live him for generations (assuming Disney doesn't sink it).
