Also, remember that they end up near the Ark crash site under Mount St. Hilary
in Oregon, and the Nemesis eventually crashes into the Amazon.
The characters do a LOT of travelling, which isn't too problematic because they're robots and don't really need to stop or slow their walking pace to rest as long as they've got enough Energeon rations.
