>>7459741>What's the best part about trains as a hobby?That's going to be a huge spectrum of different answers. For me lately the best part of it has been the history. I chose to focus on a particular railroad in the 1970's, so I'm having to do lots of research and story-searching for particular info about what my trains should look like. Lucky me I keep discovering that Milwaukee Road in the '70's was an open book as far as diesel locomotives, so I can select pretty much anything I want for motive power, from F3's to SD45's, Alco RS3's and even a few Baldwins still lingering.
