WHen you spray your topcoat you just have to judge it so you don't completely obliterate your preshading, but they don't stand out like a sore thumb, if you don't spray directly into the panel line themselves you often don't even need to do a panel line wash either.
Grey schems are the easiest to make look good by far so it's a good 1st choice when starting out. Pic rel was like the 2nd or 3rd model i built, preshaded with black then weathered and PLW with kiddys watercolour paints, just a shame the shitty hasegawa decals turned yellow desu.
