Where I live blacks are very uncommon too, which means there is a big lack of tact in regards to those matters (like with that mentioned advertisment) or just plain ignorance.
It's no surprise that in a country where a certain type of people isn't present people don't care about them/are ignorant at best.
That's no "hate" though.
What's really odd is that most BJDs do not look asian at all. Even "anime" as aesthetic stretches it. If I want a proper asian looking doll my choices are still pretty slim.
