How does the ANIMA Final Form fare in the hip design? I presume that the upcoming Natayanagi ver and Euro II will be the same.

I think I will just ditch all Revoltechs and go full Bandai Robot Damashii or RG.

Kotobukiya kits does have the most accurate and clean sculpts for the TV designs at the moment. I am still waiting for either Kaiyodo or Bandai to do new stuff for the TV series.

But yes, it is going to be Eva Wars in 2020. Mafex is probably on suicide watch due to floppy squid syndrome. It basically Bandai Hobby vs Tamashii Nation while Kaiyodo still has new stuff and reissues coming out.

Mafex does have the best Rebuild sculpts though as well as the most complete set of accessories.

Here, you can match the 00s with the corresponding eras of 01s.

The two on the bottom are exactly the same, only different boxes.

If you want TV Evas I say wait till the last movie is over, or get the Koto kits. I'm willing to bet we'll see a rise in TV ver merch (unless they announce a new series...)

Yamaguchi's earliest attempts with the head sculpt were pretty okay, funny enough. Maybe the pre-Revo Kaiyodo stuff were better, IDK much about those.

Let me compliment you on how right you are. The first 3 (Dante, Dougram, New Getter 1) were forced into being Revoltechs after they were made as traditional cut swivels figures. The TV Evas were made after the first Assemble Borg body was made, pretty much as a byproduct of that toy line.

To add onto the Eva Revoltechs, there were also the very first Rebuild movie Revoltechs. Just the two, 01 and 00, and they were basically the same engineering as the TV Evas.

Oh and EoE Revoltechs exists too, where MP Eva was from. Originally sold in two different sets, later combined into one complete set. And the 02 in the same body format as MP, never reissued. They have the diagonal cut wrists.
