I ruined my vintage Toys Story 4 doll by mistake, and I'm bummed.
I found out that there's a new Barbie doll from the 80s in Toy Story 4. Looked at the prices on ebay and didn't care for the price points. I find the doll while thifting nude, but with her earrings.
Due to Covid 19 I use rubbing alcohol on all my thrift store finds, and to get the Sharpie prices off. This normally doesn't affect the paint on the dolls in any way. Rub cotton ball over the earrings, which have a metallic pink sticker with some odd shape on it. All the pink color and the odd shape on the sticker rub off. The sticker is fine and it's still sparkly but its sliver instead of pink now.
Doesn't Mattel protect their sticks with a gloss to prevent this kinda thing from happening? Anyways I thought I'd share this to let people know not to mess with old vintage Barbie earrings with stickers on them.
