>>10453130A lot of people believe movie magic begun omg dolls flop era and i have to agree. They had a really good theme and could have done as well as remix but made severals mistakes.
The tots : the remix ones were superiors since they had hair, they should done something similar but diferent maybe like mix and match pop off hairstyle a la cutie pop or barbie color reveal. The design of the tots were also wasted on the "crew" part, they should have all been parody of iconic movie like the amber character from cluless or C3-PO.
The overall gimmick: all the dolls came with movie "reels" that were suposed to work with a movie maker app and unlock "scene" and stuff. Such a great idea but they never released the app so those piece were useless.
The omg : remix omg's gimmick were "featuring" so their second outfits were switch with another but still made sense for both dolls. Movie magic omg's gimmick was "double feature" so they were a mixture of two lol tots at the same time like freaky fusion and both of their outfits are inspired by one of their lol sister, the problem is the omg design were kinda weak and wasted a lot of great lol tots tat could have been great solo doll.
I think they should have done one lol per omg with more litteral design for their movie genre and the double feature gimmick would have been giving them an unexpected genre inpired second outfit, like sci fi and western, horror and comedy, etc...
The big pack : the appeal of the big pack is the value, the remix one had 4 omg and 4 lol, this was the tween first year they should have been included in this pack.
The media : the movie was shit they should have dropped it, character focused narative just dont work for lol and omg. Instead they should have done shorts and mussic video to promote the dolls
Movie magic was a really weak line with a lot of potential but i do think gamma babe, spirit queen(with a better hairstyle than the dracula one), agent soul and the two pack are great dolls.
