His whole schtick is that lorewise, he lost his original arm and has had it replaced with a bionic one, and his transformation reflects this - he folds up in an asymmetric fasion, seemingly around the 'fake' limb,as if his body is doing its best to adapt to the foreign object attached to it. It's neat, but might be a ding against him for people who prefer simple transformations; I'm a fan of complexity, though, so I see this as a perk.
