>>10460985Comics just used to be such a big part of my life growing up that I really hate to give them up. I loved going to my local comic book store. I loved talking with people there. I loved the stories and the characters. Comics were my world as a kid. But not matter how much I love them I just can't in good faith or conscience support what they're doing to them. It's not as if they weren't always clunkers. It's not like things were always perfect. But for as much as you want to make fun of Liefeld, EXTREME or whatever else, there was at least always the sense that the writers LIKED comics. Now it's all half assed twitter drama, poorly thought out ideas and characters sitting around trying to appeal to the web toon audience.
>>10461000I would sooner reread any of the worst events of the past, Onslaught, Ultimatum, even that crazy ass Avengers the Crossing shit than deal with the X-men's death cult orgy space island. Comics aren't even just bad these days. They're purposely bad.
