I think everyone forgets how much they were producing back then, only remembering a few stand outs. Mezco did make some pretty basic action figures with the Hellboy line..
By the time NECA and Mezco were making super articulated figures, McFarlane had started making their Halo line (2008), which reached upwards of 40PoA on some of the figures. Compare that to something like Mezco's Hellboy line, which had less articulation than Hasbro's 1:18 GI Joe line.
