As an aside, 1000 toys made some freakish frankenstein Joes, one of Duke and one of storm Shadow.

1. the series always focus too much on it
2. they never last long enough to get a proper conclusion
3. we never get a consistent team besides the same few core joes to care about
I think if you gave teh series to a guy like Derek Wyatt from TFA and Teen Titans fame, and had him do a couple of seasons, you'd get a proper Joe series that had all teh cartoonish designs, and semi serious plot that you could want. His transformers take was a really well thought out world that we never really got anywhere else in that franchise, and I imagine he could do the same for Joes.
