>>7221626>>7222520I went with a friend who was interested in looking at, and potentially buying the LE Sally, and I learned that there might still be hope for future LE dolls in teams of them not being priced as high as the Nightmare dolls for the following reasons.
The boxes were heavy, and seemed way larger in person than they do in photos. I swear the boxes weighed about 20 to 25 pounds each! When I picked one up I thought to myself "What the hell are theses dolls made of?" My friend wanted to look at the new Wreck it Ralph merch before paying for her Sally doll so I carried Sally so she could pick up a Vanellope doll. Sally's box was so heavy I had to put it down on the floor four times because my hand started to hurt.
At the counter we took the Sally doll out of the box,and shes one of the heaviest dolls I've ever picked up. Turns out shes not made of plastic. Shes made out of resin and metal. Her base is solid, and weighs as much as a small boulder.
The last thing I noticed was that the stitches on her dress are real, and not printed on.
Hopefully these little extras are the real reason behind these LE dolls being priced so high, and that future normal plastic LE dolls will stay at their normal price point!
