I prefer static figures, in particular gashapon/trading figures/pvc “statues” to high poa stuff that /toy/ loves. I admire high poa figures mostly for the engineering, and the holy shit aspect of them since I grew up with 5 poa (or less) toys, but posing them is sort of a pain in the ass and they come with tons of parts you have to account for, keep their boxes, all that shit
toy/ got me into Kamen Rider SH Figuarts and I own a bunch I’ve never even opened. I like the designs and some of the lore but see above, plus the fact that I’ve tried to watch a couple of the shows and they’re invariably cringey fake-looking hokey garbage
I started coming here in like 2008 but left for a long time because /toy/ is an enabler for me spending too much money. I came back because of the new GI Joes and sure enough I bought the Classified Snake Eyes exclusive for scalper price and I haven’t opened it either
I feel cleansed now
