>>8231836Here's some of the pins I cut to put in the small hole in the center of the neck. I used a bit of wire from a broken clothes hanger that kept for just such an emergency. The pin I needed was small, REALLY small. About 3~4mm. The pins shown here weren't the right size as cutting the wire so small isn't an exact science. Clothes hanger wire is surprisingly hard to cut by hand. Who knew?
But then the real trick was to get everything glued together and apply pressure to the parts. How do you apply pressure to a small, bent cylindrical object like the neck post? Best solution I came up with is to use my "Helping Hands" modeling tool to hold the pieces together in place and then let gravity do the rest.
We'll see how things fare tomorrow. If not, then I'll order that neck post from coolcat and wait several months for the slow boat from Taiwan for my package to come in.
