>>6693630I've got them both, just not with me on holiday. They're decent bots, but you gotta love the bot mode before all else or neither of them will appease you.
The altmode is a hodgepodge of nothing that's hard to hard to keep tabbed together and leaves visible hands. The upside is that the robot modes are really dunand articulated. Sadly, they're not perfect, as the side skirts don't fold out when you turn waist and the shoulders on Drift are ironically too awkward to get into many sword poses. Speaking of, the swords are black plastic given chrome that has the handles painted black. Couple that with death grip hands and you better be okay with silver handles, cause that paint is coming off all three swords. Deadlock is by far the better one since his guns work better with his articulation, his arm guns help his altmode look more convincing, and his rounder shoulders allow for more movement, making him more fun with swords than the one with swords. Just be aware that his ears are frighteningly thin and his backpack makes it hard to not grab his noggin by the ears, which is bad if you get one with tight balljoints like mine. Be weary of stressing or breaking them if you grip it too tight.
They are definitely an earlier IF piece, which isn't bad but leaves much to be desired in a transforming toy. If you like how the robot modes look and want decent articulation, they are worth it. If you want fun pocket transformers, Deadlock is the far superior of the two and boats a superior altmode, but it isn't worth going out of you way to hunt down on his own. All-in-all decent, but far from IF's best effort.
