Shops have gendered isles, toy advertisements have a gender bias, even google will show you gendered results when you look up "boys toy" or "girls toy".
Advertisers and toy makers are the ones to assign gender to toys and they often make it pretty clear.
Just because a toy is classed as a "Girls toy" doesn't mean boys cant enjoy it, that's a childish mindset.
"Girls toy" is an incredibly useful categorization that almost everyone in western society understands.
Stop being difficult for no reason. If you don't agree with it then you can just say that, instead of pretending that this person is just pulling the idea of gendered toys out of their ass.
