>>9544326Because regardless of race, she's visually a homely character. People and especially children tend to be put off by ugly people for obvious reasons. Unless that physical ugliness is a driving point to the story, (Like in Hunchback of Notre Dame or Phantom of the Opera.) then it shouldn't be part of the character's look as it emotionally distances the audience from the character's motivations.
