>>11333174>keeping trash around when there's a hundred different better alternatives that take up 8x less spaceYeah, i get it, there's poorfags who don't have the money to buy $4 boxes like these AND/or the fact that poorfags don't know how to handle money and sudenly need to resell shit ASAP because they had a hankering for Burger King or to afford their next figure, but most toys do not come with nice boxes.
You can really see this poorfag problem with weeaboos, because of how pricey their figures are and they need to save up every little bit to ensure maximum resale value. Which also makes them look like flavor of the month faggots.
Most boxes are just pictures of the toys themselves and that's completely worthless when you already own the toy. You might as well be justifying keeping toy catalogues and advertisments too.
This is just completionism; a really shit way to collect, and to me, is basically the same shit as buying just to buy.
Personally, i keep the boxes that have nice art, but i've flattened 99% of them out. Doesn't even fill up a 20 gallon box, despite me collecting this way for over 20 years now and owning thousands of toys. Hasbro does some really nice art for their packaging, but ever since they started washing out the colors or using gray scale, i've just been trashing their packaging. So I've dramatically slowed down on the cardboard saving.
I also go through my box and toss shit every 3 or 4 years.
