>>6339079>The line was called Ame-Comi before legal reasons changed it... I don't think it is, them and 99.9% of people looking at them thinks it is from the comics. That is some shit logic right there.
That's like someone buying the current Guardians of the Galaxy figures and believing they actually represent the comic characters, which makes means that they are based on the comics.
>I get it that you have a crazy OCD level parameter for what is "from -----." Don't be dumb.
Hasbro and Diamond pay Marvel for the license to make toys of designs from the comics, ontop of the movie designs and the just general license.
Kaiyodo is avoiding paying more for the license by not actually using the designs from the comics and just doing their own thing.
> I don't get your all or nothing categorization. This is how licensing works and why you see most media companies doing their own thing (for the royalties or lack of them). It has to be that specific design.
If you haven't noticed, there's a ton of people on /toy/ who want specific designs, like Wolverine, despite many reiterations just being Jim Lee 90s XMen Blue Team Wolverine with slight changes... which is only a slightly changed up Herb Trimpe Wolverine from Hulk 181.
Every comic fan knows this shit and can tell you which costume is which. The fact that you obviously don't give a shit just means you love how movie Groot is just like comic Groot.
