>>8824159Being based off of the concept art rather than the actual suit is sensible for like the first draft of a figure, but if you're doing reissues with new boxes and still not bothering with any fixes it becomes just a sign you either don't know you're wrong or just don't care to fix it.
>>8824197Just a poorly molded piece. The thicker stump between the two eyes clips into the back of the faceplate and is also where the plastic is injected in from. Its painted silver on the back, but with how thick it is, the silver never shows. You'll have to actually do some surgery and pop the head open to fix it. Honestly wouldn't be as notorious as it is if not for all of Bandai's display copies of the figure not having the problem.
