Boys toys: Ted Mayer is coming up with concepts for more figures. Several concept drawings (Mantenna, Leech, the brain guy) are united by a removable winged emblem: this was going to be a new type of bad guy to fight, little winged creatures that had attached themselves to aliens and were mind-controlling them.
Meanwhile (by 5/25/1984) over at Filmation, Larry DiTillio had written the first draft for what they wanted to do as a spinoff about He-Man's long-lost sister. "Into Etheria" established Hordak (earlier "Reaper") as dictator of another world, Adam's sister Adora (earlier "Eve") as his favorite officer, Shadow Weaver, Imp and Scorpia created to fit narrative roles. By the final draft, Adora had a whole squad filled out with Ted Mayer's Leech and Mantenna and Catra from Justine Dantzer's doll designs for Mattel.
