The combined chest untabs way too easily and the shins are too wide or the combiner pegs/ports are too close to each other so it's impossible to get it in a neutral pose. The hip ratchets also have too much give so the combined mode does the splits too readily. Besides the chest though, it's actually surprisingly solid. I expected the legs to be a floppy mess but it's the most solid parts of the toy. The ball joints and some other joints are a bit loose due to it being a 2005 toy, but I can fix that easily. I'd still recommend it as an amusing combiner and as a piece of 3P history for under $80.
Oh, one more thing. I got two Energon Storm Jets/Silverbolts and both of them had miss-assembled knees. One had two right knees and the other had the knees swapped. I don't know if this is a common thing with the Energon Storm Jet/Silverbolt toy. It won't affect transformation or combined mode, but still something to be on the look out for.
