>>7076948Imagine if you had a really cool idea for a figure you wanted to create, but no pocket funds to just start randomly mass-producing it. You start small, craft your own, make a few more, build a fan base, refine the process and, if you're lucky, then move on to working with vendors to produce figures. A lot money has to be sunk into the business even at that point, though, because you have to buy molds (not cheap) and make sure the factory you're working with has good QC. There's a lot of back-and-forth. Then you have to deal with fulfillment and shipping. It's really a miracle some things are even produced at all. It's a ton of work.
