In these threads in the past I’ve mentioned for almost three years I’ve taken my beyblades to my local bar for people to play with. I don’t dwell too much on it since it’s mostly a self serving need, but I’ve recently learned just how much of an impact I’ve made doing this.
>two weeks ago Friday
>bring my gear as usual
>small crowd at the bar since holidays coming close and all
>few people I typically talk to and battle with are there
>we bey battle, play video games, drink beer, all around good time
>late into the night one of the bartenders sees us doing beybalde and comments how people have been asking where these’ve been before leaving
>be confused, certainly they can’t be talking about the grown man playing with tops in public
>next time I see him I ask if he’s being serious
>he responds that yes people have been wondering where the Beyblade person is because they hadn’t seen him in a while
>a number of people who asked actually thought it was events the bar itself put on before learning it was all thanks to one autistic and his bag of spinning tops
>mfw
When I first started this in 2022 I didn’t expect much of anything to come of it, but now I’m coming to accept that I have formed something of a beyblade community in my area. There probably already is one, and granted I’m the only person that supplies these things, but since I collect them anyways all people wanna do is but some heads and enjoy doing it.
