Bunch of people who bought Revoltechs in the 00s are now dealing with sticky figures and there's apparently Yamaguchi figures from the past 5 years that have issues like that too.
There's a lot of lines that have issues with shit breaking and there's no way of knowing what will degenerate in a relatively short time.

Shit, most people today buy electronics that are known to shit the bed in less than 3 years and don't care, because they'll keep rebuying that shit because it's become normalized to rebuy broken appliances.

All plastic will degrade eventually, how long mostly depends on the temperature of where you store it.

This is why people who own early Figmas or Revoltechs had their figures get all sticky, since they likely had an unknown problem occur (it's not like they can test every single plastic mixture with every reaction to colors. plastic quality itself mostly depends on the amount used and engineering. read: thicker better). But there's some people whose figures are still in good shape or took longer for the weeping to develop.

Personally, i have two versions of that Dredd and they dont have that issue.
It could probably be just a person living in a hot place and the plastic just starts degrading faster. It happens with pretty much every plastic, where it loses its elasticity thanks to plasticizers coming out due to age.

Pleather (vinyl over a cloth material) in general is hard wearing, but various things can fuck it up (humidity, dirt/oils, and heat). Also sunlight is bad.

And that's funny you want to say i don't play with my stuff, especially when spandex in itself will always be causing wear to the material because it's already stretched over the figure.

We're already on 4 years of the line existing and so far it's holding up better than other lines that are just plain plastic.

Almost all complaints about "new" toys are from people who bought their toys 5-10 years ago.
There are companies who shown they're aware of issues involving their plastics, btw.
