So because of this the Ghostface in DbD has no relation whatsoever to the movie. The Ghostface in DbD is an original character, that's why he has an original costume that looks nothing like the movie outside of the mask.
I highly doubt NECA would be willing to do the same thing, making their own original Ghostface design, since in the past they've stated they don't usually do original stuff. The only exception I can think of is their 100th edition predator. If they do a Ghostface figure it'd have to be with both movie rights and mask rights, which I'm not sure they're willing to do. Would be awesome though if they did.
