>>7737870>Yes, that shit exists on mass produced figures too. Maybe not as carefully painted, but it's still found in them. And when it's not as carefully painted, ESPECIALLY at such a large scale, it looks like shit. Better to have consistent but not as heavily detailed finishes than excessively detailed and clumsily executed paintjobs, else you get sloppy shit like NECA's crap.
>How is that ironic, especially when I've been been saying it reminds me of Mattel's stuff and Playmate's stuff from the 90s? Because you're wrong and you're just demonstrating your shit taste. You post a great looking toy and claim it proves your point that ONLY PAINTED TOYS GOOD.
>Since you can't see the paint, i guess this means you're a phoneposter. As always, you guys prove you're the worst posters on 4chan.>Everyone who disagrees with me is a phoneposterTop fucking kek.
>See, now this is ironic, given the fact that you supposedly paint your shit after John Blanche's stuff and he really loves paint the shit out of everything, which again shows your contrarian views on this matter. Or maybe, just maybe, I'm able to comprehend context and nuance, and that styles that work in one context don't necessarily work in another. Blanche's style works because they're one off pieces- if you tried replicating that style en masse on mass production toys it'd either cost a fortune or would look THIN YOUR PAINTS tier. Also that I understand that lighting and shading for miniatures (which only have to assume one pose) is very different from the same for articulated figures (which have to assume many different poses, and having excessive shading/highlighting would look weird in poses outside of the one they were "painted for".
>Or you're just bullshitting to defend Bandai's cheapshit budget cuts to their paint and want your store to sell more, because you fear any criticism.Yeah, you're either a troll or you're insane. Then again, you're Subjectanon. Probably both.
