However, since none of them have dicks, they instead one-up each other by trying to creating Rahi.
Take for instance the Lohrak. The story goes that Makuta Chirox wanted to create "a flying serpent with enough exterior slime to slither through small cracks, but not enough to leave a trail."
It's possible he spent decades, if not hundreds of years trying to perfect this Rahi.
Enter Mutran, a long-time rival of Chirox, who decides to create his own Lohrak, which secretes just the right amount of slime.
The reason for most predatory Rahi existing is probably because one Makuta got pissed at another and decided that his Rahi wants to kill their Rahi, as a sort of vicarious revenge.
And of course you mustn't forget the enmity between the Nui-Rama and Nui-Kopen- allegedly, they hate each other because they share the same habitat, and by extension, the same prey. But who's to say that it's not just because their creators had throbbing figurative bio-mechanical hateboners for each other?
