It's harder to get stuff on sale or clearance when you can barely find them to begin with: did pick up one of the figs from CoD Heroes 4 for $3 CAD the other day at Walmart but it's the exception. There's been a few juicy liquidation centre finds over the last year but these are more the end result of mismanaged licenses (AssCreed and Terminator specifically).
>>8400621It's a fair point that the blind bags going up coincided at least in part with when they transitioned to the newer fig designs, something Lego doesn't even have an excuse for with their own 2 buck increase. In general though it's getting more costly to army-build a force of decent size, unless you're ok with padding out your numbers with original style figs through bulk lots from China, but even that option has its limitations.
