>>8208688True, but it is kind of annoying. You ever hear of the D-Spirit? Basically, they're the Bandai-Asia equivalent of the D-Terminal with added quest modes. Almost every Digimon featured has some sort of Digi-Digit, even the X-Antibody versions featured in the Pendulum X/D-Cyber, which obviously didn't appear in any version of the D-Tector. I've had the D-Spirit 2 for years and never managed to get far enough to unlock those codes. Needless to say, they're kind of my white whale.
But, I digress.
>>8210043>They're releasing a niche toy that not even the entire fanbase wants (due to a a majority of them only liking the human characters as opposed to the monsters).I'd say the bigger factor is the number of fans who would rather have normal articulated figures like the D-Arts/Figuarts and wouldn't cave into peer pressure. So you're taking an already niche demographic and then splitting it up. The portion of the fandom that only cares about the humans aren't even worth mentioning, since they have the GEM statues catering to their tastes.
