>>6558097I've built the Hasegawa version. I can't speak for the Fujimi version, but that does look like a good deal for what you get. I'd imagine both kits are very similar in terms of the quality, though I'll say the details on the Hasegawa one are excellent out of the box. I used Hasegawa's photo etch sets with this that don't come with the kit itself, I really like their photo etch as it's so simple and easy to put together, for example the failings aren't just stuck onto the model vertically, but they have these little tabs that you bend on the bottom of the fails to make them easier to stick onto the kit and stay in place. I wish more photo etch companies did the same... I can't tell you how difficult other ship kits railings can sometimes be to put on and stick onto the ship.
The same goes for all the little railings around the torpedo launchers, same thing, little tabs that make getting them on so much easier.
The Fujimi kit with photo etch is definitely cheaper though, I'd say you can't go wrong with either choice, though the Hasegawa will be more expensive with photo etch.
Oh, another thing I really liked about the Hasegawa kit was that the instructions actually showed how to do the rigging with a layout of it, no other kit I've ever built has done that before, and ALL kits should do it, shame they don't. Only Hasegawa ship kit I've ever built too but I want to do another, left a real good impression.
