I have to wonder why Power Rangers can't maintain an adult collector line. It can't just be price, there has to be another element to it. Bandai's Legacy Collection flopped, The Lightning Collection flopped, the non-MMPR Figuarts that were rebranded as PR figures in the US flopped, and even stranger to me the Ultimates line flopped. How the fuck could Power Rangers not maintain an Ultimates line?
Thundercats figures clog clearance sections on toy websites but they still get new waves and meet preorders thresholds without any issue. Even when the wave lacks a Thundercat it makes it to market, and they funded a 600-700 dollar playset AND a 400 dollar vehicle. Like Thundercats is over here selling characters like Mandora AND her bike to the 100 people that wanted it but Power Rangers can't meet pre-order threshold on the goddamn Tigerzord? Same with something like Silverhawks. Silverhawks is probably one of the deadest franchises you can think of and it still outperformed Ultimates Power Rangers. Why is this the one nostalgia-driven line that can not sell to its fanbase?
