Opposite for me. Buying things that I like makes me feel depressed.
My parents were cheapstakes who believed that buying anything beyond bare necessities was a waste. My only toys were gifts from other family members, that my parents eventually sold to buy groceries. It's not like they were poor either.
I feel guilty when buying things I like instead of saving money. Hell, even eating at anything more fancy than McDonald's feels wrong.
How can I buy toys and games without feeling so guilty afterwards?
