>>9374880>As bad as shit like the New 52 was, you can't deny stuff like Rebirth wasn't a step back in the right direction. And it was pretty successful, but it's still because DC has been struggling for over a decade: either from poor sales or/and WB trying to stick their hairy asses into the pudding.
It's no different than today, and your example of the gun is literally an unsupported nothing based on some personal dislike. It's like hating that Superman didn't have his red briefs in his design. It has no real bearing on sales. Whereas Mattel's Young Justice line bombing meant that there was no toyline to support producing more seasons.
>Try reading the whole post next time.I did (and i expanded on it), hence
>Disney Channel/Toon Disney? See Hasbro's success in actually producing toys that sell. The ML/MU lines were catch-alls, featuring characters from all those series. It's not a coincidence various characters from the cartoons showed pu in the toylines when they did. Whereas DCUC tried to do the "classic" costumes, hence other lines existing to make stuff on the cartoons (JLU, YJ, etc). It's only later that Mattel tried to include more of the topical characters into the DCUC, which got renamed into whatever that failure was called.
>meanwhile the same Joker and Batmen keep sitting in the shelfEarly on the line was hard to get. I see "shelf warmers" that i wouldn't call them that, because they disappear after a month and constantly see every new wave. Real shelf warmers prevent shit from appearing, like pic, Rogue One, Winter Destros, or Rose Ticos.
>That's not even including the wall of WW84 shit rotting over by the NECA section.Failed movie with a failed toy? No shit? But everything else under McFarlane's DC Multiverse banner still constantly sells.
>How did you conflate that with me saying Mattel wasn't at fault? Because you literally just said
>Just not to the extent you're implying. A fucking cartoon block was killed because of Mattel's bombs.
