It also varies immensely with the ship, a modern submarine can be six parts and one colour (so I guess maybe an hour or so excluding waiting on stuff to dry), a WW2 battleship can be well over a thousand parts in various colours calling for all sorts of creative work order and masking solutions to get it done. So I could easily knock out a simple submarine in a day on the weekend, while the battleship I built was on the workbench for a bit over two months (building another one would probably go quicker, as I know more about how to do it now). You can then stretch this out to infinity by just not working on stuff all that much or often.
